Yesterday I went to a fab class at the newly opened
Bubbly Funk B&M shop in Worcester, with the lovely
Caroline. It was an art journaling class - not very me at all. But that was the point, to try to move a bit out of my comfort zone. As you can see, the result is pretty far outside my comfort zone (OK the dog in a hat is quite me, but composition and materials wise etc), but I am really chuffed with it. I didn't like the yellow paint job I did for the background but I made myself work with it anyway and I am so glad I did! The journal is actually a chipboard file folder with a ring binder mechanism inside, great for a novice journaler because if you hate a page you can just take it out.
Now I've just got to make pages. Revealing my innermost thoughts is really not me!!! I am not really introspective at all. I might just indulge in more silliness like the cover.
In other news I am chuffed to bits to have been asked by Caroline to teach some classes at the shop. My first class is 26th February and places are for sale now from Caroline. More info to follow, but the class will involve making a dinky little maze book and custom embellies for the cover.
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by xxx
