I painted the slide mailer with cream paint and used some leftover pieces of scrapbook paper my friend Ally gave me for Christmas (thanks Ally!). The front is embellished with some twine, ribbon, a chipboard heart and a teeny button. I used some torn old book paper too, which I inked with white ink to tone down the text a little bit. Inside I used a mixture of pictures, stickers and more paper scraps.
I really liked making this and will definitely be making another - my OH wants one of me. Now that's a turn up for the books!Katy x
Hi Katy, I love this. Where do you get slide mailers from? Haven't heard of them before. Thanks. x
ReplyDeleteKaty, I absolutely love this and would definitely like to do some. I've seen slide mailers before but only small ones, and wouldn't have had a clue what to do with them. This would be great for hubby as a present (pictures of the kiddie winkles!).
ReplyDeletelove the size of this slide mailer, will definitely look out for these. Plus love what you have done.
ReplyDeleteThis is just fabulous - glad you're getting loads of use out of that paper too!

ReplyDeleteThis is so fabulous!!! What a fantastic idea, and you've got a perfect balance of photos and embellies (cuz really, we like them both the same, don't we? LOL!!!) TFS, I will have to try this!
ReplyDeleteI get the slide mailers from Crafty Individuals here in the UK - hope that helps!
