Shall We (Rubber) Dance?

Hi folks! Am back again with my regular DT post for Rubber Dance - I am hoping to post every Thursday, bringing you a new make every week with wonderful Rubber Dance stamps.

If you are due to go on your annual holiday this month then this project could be for you! Pretty and practical, I created an altered tin which is perfect for travel sweets. Pop this in your handbag and sort out airplane ear popping with a sucky sweet or two.

SUPPLY LIST
For this set I used the gorgeous Travel set from Rubber Dance.
All the stamps used for these projects are from Rubber Dance: www.rubberdance.com

Plus:
Small tin
Alcohol Inks
Archival Inks
Tissue Tape
Glue N Seal
Vintage postage stamp
Vintage postcard background

1) Swipe the tin with alcohol inks - I didn't use any blending solution I used the inks directly on the felt. My chosen colours were Espresso and Black.

2) Stamp the lid with the map stamp using Black StazOn.

3) Ink a piece of Tissue Tape using Archival Ink in Tree Branch and Sepia.

4) Add the Tissue tape around the inside edges of the base of the tin and the outside edge of the top of the tin. The tape won't stick well to metal so use glue to hold it in place.

5) Stamp the map onto two pieces of card using Black Archival and ink the edges with Sepia.

6) Create a collage for the lid using the travel stamps, stamped onto a printed vintage postcard image.

7) Add a real postage stamp to the collage and then seal all the stamped pieces with Glue N Seal or similar. It's a good idea to seal the tin if it will be handled - this is why it's best to do all the previous work with Archival as it won't bleed when sealed.

8) The finished tin - add a final layer of Glue N Seal all over to protect the finish.

If you'd like to use my vintage postcard background feel free to take it from below.
